A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §16-2J-3a, relating to authorizing continued operation of certain preventative care programs after expiration date of the pilot program.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

    That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated §16-2J-3, to read as follows:

ARTICLE 2J. PREVENTIVE CARE PILOT PROGRAM.

§16-2J-3a. Preventive care programs established by the preventive care pilot program.

    Notwithstanding the expiration of the preventive care pilot program, any preventive care program licensed prior to June 30, 2011, by the commissioner pursuant to section four of this article may continue to market and sell prepaid memberships entitling subscribers to obtain preventative and primary health care from the participating provider: Provided, That any preventive care program and any participating provider operating a preventive care program are subject to all requirements and conditions set forth in this article.
